A Special Note to America On Line™ Customers:


The web browser integrated into all versions of America On Line's software is incompatible with our security technology. Please use the following steps to access our secure web site via your AOL connection:

1. Sign on to AOL™ normally.

2. Minimize your AOL™ window.

3. Start either Microsoft Internet Explorer™ or Netscape Navigator™

4. Access our secure site using one of these web browsers rather than the AOL™ browser. If you experience any difficulty at this point, your browser may not be seeing the AOL™ network connection. Try the following procedure:

 

For Microsoft Internet Explorer™ v. 4 and 5

Open Explorer's "Internet Options" dialog box (found under the "View" menu in versions up to and including IE 4.0, and under the "Tools" menu in IE 5).

In the resulting pop-up window, click on the "Connection" tab.

Make sure that the radio button titled "Connect to the Internet using a local area network" is selected.

Click OK on the dialog box.

 

For Netscape Navigator™ v. 4.51

Open Navigator's "Preferences" dialog box (found under the "Edit" menu).

In the list window on the left hand side of the dialog box, expand the "Advanced" option and click on the "Proxies" item.

Make sure that the radio button titled "Direct connection to the Internet" is selected.

Click OK on the dialog box.
