1. Cut all tulip stems except three off the bush stem as
close to the large plastic stem as possible. Leave the longest tulip and 2 others that are
different lengths attached to the stem.
2. Push the bush stem with the three tulips into the grapevine wreath at the bottom on the
inside edge of the wreath. Tulips should go straight up the inside of the wreath and the
tallest bloom should rest on the top of the wreath. Secure with glue.
3. Glue 3 short tulip stems of varying lengths into the center of the wreath next to the
large stem. Cut the stems shorter if necessary. Glue 2 long (about 12) stems into
the wreath next to the others, then bend the stems down to the left and to the right.
These are your two longest stems pointing down. Refer to the photo for placement. Glue 2
slightly shorter tulip stems near the others in the center and bend them down closer to
the center of the arrangement, pointing down. Save the last 4 tulips until the bow has
been made.
4. Cut the pepperomia bush apart at the stem. Glue the 2 longest pieces into the center of
the wreath, bend down and arrange under and around the longest downward facing tulips. Cut
one pepperomia stem the same length as the second longest upright tulip and glue into the
middle of the wreath and arrange up along the tulip stems.
5. Using 3 1/2 yards of the sheer wired ribbon, make a 10 loop bow with a center loop.
Wire the remaining ribbon to the bow for the tails. Glue the bow on to the wreath, in the
center, in front of the tulip stems, diagonally across the front of the arrangement. Cut 2
of the remaining tulips 7 long and glue into the center of the arrangement, between
loops in the bow. Cut the last 2 tulips 9 long, and glue under the bow pointing out
to the sides. See photo for placement.
6. Cut the lily of the valley bush apart and glue 8 clusters along tulip stems throughout
the arrangement. Add extra pepperomia greenery as needed.
7. Separate the bear grass into small clusters, wire each cluster into a loop and glue
into the arrangement along the 3 longest tulip stems, pointing in different directions,
trimming the bear grass if necessary.
8. Shape the tails of the ribbon into spirals, glue the left tail upward on the wreath,
and let the right tail hang down with the tulips on the right side of the wreath. |
