Materials Needed:
12 - 2 1/2 Paper Mache Eggs,
8 - 6 Paper Mache Eggs
White Acrylic Paint
Scribbles Paint:
2 Bottles Glittering Silver
1 Bottle Shiny Purple
1 Bottle Shiny Bright Red
1 Bottle Shiny Bright Blue
1 Bottle Shiny Fushia
1 Bottle Shiny Harvest Gold
1 Bottle Shiny Bright Green
Green Excelsior,
Easter Ribbon,
Paintbrush, Craft Knife,
Wire or Twist Ties |
Directions:
1. Cut 3 large eggs in half lengthwise with craft knife.
2. Paint all eggs with white acrylic paint.
3. Decorate eggs using a combination of the following:
a. Draw a design on the egg with glittering silver fabric paint.
Allow to dry. Squirt colored fabric paint onto a paper plate
or cardboard, using a paintbrush, paint the colors onto the egg.
b. Paint the entire egg using colored scribbles. Allow to dry.
Draw designs on painted egg with silver scribbles.
c. Draw large designs or sections on the eggs with silver fabric
paint. Allow to dry. Using paintbrush, paint the egg with colored
fabric paint. Allow to dry. Decorate sections with silver fabric paint.
4. Create a base by cutting 2 cardboard rings with a diameter of 13
1/2. The hole should measure 7 1/2. The width of the ring will be 3 all
around.
5. Glue a light covering of excelsior to the cardboard.
6. Glue the large half eggs evenly around the cardboard. Leave one
large space at the bottom for the bow. See photo for placement.
7. Fill in with the large eggs & the small eggs. See Photo.
8. Make a 6 loop bow. Secure with wire or twist tie. Glue to wreath in empty space.
9. Glue a wire or twist tie loop to the back of the cardboard ring for a hanger. |
